Bush Fire Department, Inc. proudly protects 7500 people living in an area of 35 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

We are located on Highway East 80, in Laurel County. We currently have three Class A pumpers and three tankers. We have a roster of 43 active volunteer firefighters; of those volunteers 8 are EMT-B, 1 is a EMT-Paramedic, and 1 is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). We provide mutual aid to Ambulance, Inc. of Laurel County and other emergency services in the area.

Bush Fire Department holds the honor of being five time Kentucky Firefighters Olympic Champions, having won the title in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1993. The team retired undefeated.
